Hello and happy GRATEFULNESS FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Woah, I know. ANOTHER gratefulness Friday?! I’ve had such great feedback from your comments to answer the giveaway question to enter and support from online vintage sellers who want to sponsor these giveaways. It’s hard to stop doing what you do when you know that people enjoy it — which is exactly why Gratefulness Friday may become a weekly occurring component of this site!<\/p>\n

Last week’s giveaway<\/a> with the Krickett’s Jewel<\/a> asked the question, “Describe a moment you cried tears of joy.”<\/em> I was nervous posing this question, because I wasn’t sure how you would respond to it. Was it too personal a question? Did you have a moment to remember when you cried tears of joy? Was it a question which took away the “positive” spin of Gratefulness Friday?!<\/p>\n

So many insecurities ran through my mind as I pushed “publish.” But a quiet voice within told me that this was the right question to ask that week. And I’m happy to share that the quiet voice of wisdom within was CORRECT!<\/p>\n

I can’t thank you all enough for leaving such thought-provoking responses to last week’s question! I wanted to share a few of my favorite responses from last week<\/a> before launching into this week’s Gratefulness Friday Giveaway. Every single response was meaningful and thought provoking — these comments are something I’d like to package into a book someday, like “Chicken Soup for the Vintage Soul!”<\/p>\n

I cried tears of joy when my son first told another child that, no, he didn\u2019t have daddy\u2026 but he has a Mommy, a NiNi, a PopPop, an Uncle\u2026etc\u2026 At two years old, he understood \u2013 without ever having had it explained to him. My heart grew three sizes that day, and I\u2019ve been so proud of him, ever since. <3 <3 <3<\/em><\/p>\n

I cried tears of joy after a three year struggle wit trying to lose weight. I have lost 90 pounds and still getting through day by day. It’s opened my eyes to the world or running and health. I have changed my life completely and due to that I became a trainer and help other people do the same thing i did. I cry tears of joy when i know that i have taken the time to help another person get through the struggle i got through. Its a challenge day to day but its wonderful to help someone feel beautiful, strong and confident with themselves after they accomplish something.<\/em><\/div>\n

I cried tears of joys when I realized I wasn’t alone in the world. I have some days where I just feel like I’m nothing and that I’ll never do anything with my life, and somehow my boyfriend, or a friend or family member ends up doing something for me that snaps me back into reality. It makes me realize that no matter how small or pathetic I feel, there is someone out there who loves me and will hold my hand when I need extra support. For that I am incredibly grateful. :)<\/em><\/div>\n

i cried tears of relief as i realized that everything isn’t as fixed and didnt need to be as perfect as i thought it had to always be. As a perfectionist i always worried for every little possible error that could happen as i went through living miserably. One day I just realized that nothing is perfect and that includes myself. The simplicity of the solution just made everything so clear.<\/em><\/div>\n
