Looking for a new way to get together with friends<\/a>? Take the ‘Throwback Thursday’ idea that’s been cropping up on social media lately to a new level — host a Throwback Thursday movie night! Serve vintage-inspired treats and rediscover a movie that you loved as a kid. Better yet, dive into classic films from before you were born, and discover movies you’ve never seen. Here’s how to put together this fun event!<\/p>\n

1. Decide on a Movie<\/h2>\n

Your movie must be a movie from the past, but how far into the past you dig is totally up to you. You could show a movie from the 40’s or 50’s (Merry Andrew starring Danny Kaye, a film from 1958 is one of my all-time favorites!) or go with something more recent, like a cult classic from the 80s or 90s (The Goonies, anyone?).  Once you have a few movies in mind, start to track one down. You might have to visit a library, buy it online, or use a streaming service. <\/p>\n

2. Work With Your Theme<\/h2>\n

Plan a few fun treats for your crew, based around the theme of the movie you’re showing. That might be old-fashioned candy that you haven’t had since you were five, or drinks served in vintage martini glasses<\/a>. <\/p>\n

3. Take Plenty of Pics, and Plan Next Week’s Movie! <\/h2>\n
